It is a one piece lantern which has screws on the bottom to open up if you need to clean the pillar candle. The candle has three operating positions, off, 4 hours and 8 hour timer. It is great as a centerpiece for an outdoor or indoor event. The lantern has heavy, clear glass panes with half circles of metal on all four sides, giving it an elegant and stylish look. It also has decorative cutouts for venting holes below the tapered roof. This lantern can sit on a flat surface or be hung by the round loop at the top of the lantern.
